The Freedom Ordnance FX-9P10 FX-9 is a compact 9mm semi-automatic pistol built around familiar AR-15-style controls. Its billet aluminum receivers use a Type III hardcoat anodized finish, while the barrel and other high-wear steel components receive nitride or nickel boron treatments for durability and corrosion resistance. The pistol accepts Glock-pattern 9mm magazines and includes an ETS 31-round magazine. A top Picatinny rail supports the installation of a compatible optic, and the threaded barrel accommodates suitable muzzle devices. The FX-9 receiver set is more than 1 inch shorter than a standard AR-15 receiver set, creating a compact platform that remains compatible with many AR-15 stocks, braces, buffer tube assemblies, and free-float rail systems.
